I received a fabulous new product recently: the DreamMask by Dream Maker.
I have been fascinated by lucid dreaming for many, many years -- 25 years or so. I have had several lucid dreams, but I've never gotten to the point where I could have a lucid dream whenever I wanted to.

A lucid dream is a dream in which you notice that you're dreaming; and when you know you're dreaming, you can do whatever you want in your dreams! There are so many things you can do when you control your dreams: You can fly! That's really fun! You can confront your fears -- a very powerful thing to do. You can visit foreign lands, travel to other planets and universes, meet new friends, talk with a spirit guide, have a love affair with your favorite actor, and do things you would never do in "real" life just for fun!

I have bought quite a number of products over the years to facilitate my attempts at becoming an "oneironaut," or lucid dreamer.

First, of course, there are a number of books on the subject.

There are many CDs and even herbal supplements available, too.

A couple of years ago, I purchased a Lucid Dreaming Kit, which was also excellent.

Nevertheless, lucid dreaming is challenging. We're just not used to waking up in our dreams. And it takes real effort to acquire that skill.

But this! This is the great hope of lucid dreamer wannabes!

A dream mask gets you to you realize you're dreaming by detecting when you're in REM (rapid eye movement) sleep. That's the time when you begin to dream. When the mask detects your rapid eye movements, lights in the mask are triggered. That light, theoretically, will wake you just enough to think, "Oh, there's a bright light blinking; I must be dreaming!"

Obviously, you would give yourself intention statements before you went to sleep, and preferably, throughout the day, also, so that you would make that connection between the blinking light and your dream.

Now that I've read the instructions and put things together, it's time to try it out! Next stop: Dreamland!

First night: Well, straight off the bat, I had two lucid dreams, one right after the other. I dreamt that my dog Roby had eyes that glowed red, and I thought to myself (in the dream), "Wow, Roby's eyes are red -- that must mean I'm dreaming!"

Immediately, I thought, "Wow, that means I can fly!" And I did! I flew right out the window that was next to Roby.

I had basically the same dream shortly afterward -- I noticed Roby's bright red eyes and thought, "Wow, this is amazing! Every time I see Roby's red eyes, that means I'm dreaming."

This second time, though, I don't remember anything after the realization of dreaming. It must have turned into a regular dream right away. Both dreams were very short.

You should be aware, even with a dream mask, lucid dreaming takes patience and effort. It is a challenge. But a dream mask can give you, theoretically, the best chance for being awakened just enough right during a dream that you'll be able to become lucid during your dreams. And then the adventure begins! (Also, there is still effort to get "good at" lucid dreaming; in other words, you can develop your skills over time so that you can stay in your lucid dreams longer and control your dreams better. And what an awesome ability to learn -- the benefits go on and on!)

I will say the product is descent and I have found it useful but on a down side the creator Bruce Gelerter, the owner of Wellness Tools is a straight up old time con man and literally tried to scam me for 10,000 dollars he had my no limit American express gold credit card on file from purchasing both the thousand dollar nerotech brain wave device and the dream maker mask. We had been discussing the possibility of a large bulk order of some inventory for my website but had not discussed any quantity or prices yet, a week or so after this conversation I received a call from my card company asking about an unusual transaction from his company in the amount of 10,000 dollars!! I obviously immediately canceled this transaction and called him his response was "well I thought you wanted to do some bulk business" It should be obvious that you should not ever trust this guy with your credit card regardless of the quality of the products buyer BEWARE!!!
